News and Events2008-01-22 Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) Designation Approved by Nebraska - The Institute of Business & Finance (IBF) is pleased to announce that the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designation is approved for use by the Nebraska Department of Banking & Finance. The approval is of particular importance because a number of other states are looking at what Nebraska does to provide them guidance (if they decide to make any regulatory changes in the future). More... 2006-12-28 New CFS Program Launched - Students enrolling in the CFS program beginning in 2007 will receive completely revised and edited materials. The new CFS program is still 60 hours in length, requires a case study, and passage of three exams, but the content has been updated and changed. The materials are now 100% proprietary and third party textbooks are no longer used. More... 2006-11-21 RIS - IBF's new designation, the Retirement Income Specialist (RIS), was released in June.
